RobinCharlotte Jewelry | Handcrafted Sterling

A sparkling goldfish is won as a tattered ping-pong ball titters into a cup. The perfectly golden fish is placed in the eager hands of a radiant little girl at the carnival. As the sun goes down she walks her first pet home. She is unable to take her admiring eyes off her new best friend. Placed in a tiny bowl on the counter it swims round and round. The next morning she wakes up early with excitement, only to find her golden friend lifeless and dry outside it's bowl. Her father takes her by her tiny hand and together they walk towards the bathroom. Tears streaming down her freckled face, she watches the orange colors sparkle and swirl down the bright white porcelain. Never quite sure where her golden friend went until one warm California summer day. Her father takes her for a bike ride on the hot, dry concrete of the Los Angeles River and they follow it's path to the very end. This is where the sea begins. Next to it all is a towering sewage treatment plant. While looking up at it, all she can think of is how her sparkling golden fish has been returned to where it came from, long before the carnival where they first met.

About Robin:
Robin Charlotte Humphrey is currently a Los Angeles based artist. She grew up in South Pasadena, Ca., where she spent her time sewing clothing for her dolls and having tea parties with her pets. Before long she was headed to art school on the East Coast. She received her B.F.A and formal training from the pretiguous Rhode Island School of Design. This is where she met her muse and soulmate, Bentli-Balboa (pictured above). Her favorite semster was spent paiting on the beaches of, Puerto Rico. Upon graduation Robin honed her skills while working for a variety of inspirational jewelry, apparel and leather accessory designers before launching RobinCharlotte Jewelry Designs in 2007.
